Why Pomodoro & Lofi Beats?
The Pomodoro Technique
Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, the Pomodoro Technique uses a timer to break work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a pomodoro, from the Italian word for 'tomato', after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used.
By using this method, you train your brain to focus for short periods, helping you stay productive and avoid burnout. It's about working with time, rather than against it.
The Science of Lo-Fi
Low-fidelity (Lo-Fi) music is characterized by its intentional "imperfections"—tape hiss, vinyl crackle, and soft environmental sounds. This creates a predictable, non-intrusive auditory landscape that masks distracting background noise.
Studies suggest that lo-fi beats can help induce a "flow state" by providing enough stimulation to keep the brain engaged without demanding direct attention, making it the perfect companion for deep work and creative tasks.
